Next Generation Positioning Cushions were designed to stabilize positioning and distribute pressure to create an optimal position for the individual.
The pillows contain oval dynamic balls that are both soft and hard. Even after 50,000 times the compressive load, the balls retain their oval shape. All balls are sealed, waterproof, antibacterial and fireproof.
Next Generation positioning pillows have the weight and stability to ensure that a person will lie in the desired position without the pillows collapsing or slipping over time under stress. The pillows can be modulated in small areas and maintain the desired shape to support the individual. They are also characterized by minimal heat accumulation and, as a result, humidity.
The cover is made of breathable, elastic, waterproof, antibacterial and fire-resistant polyurethane. It is EN14126 certified against ingress and is also used as a PPE class 3B standard against ingress of viruses.
Next Generation positioning pads can be quickly washed off with disinfectants and dried in a few minutes.
The supine/recline shape of the cushion helps prevent poor postures such as adduction and abduction around the knee. It can be used advantageously in combination with the knee pillow, small article NTG05, the large knee pillow, article NTG06, or the U-shaped inclined pillow, article NTG02. This prevents incorrect pelvic posture, which is always the main starting point for incorrect postures.
In addition, the pillow can be used in cases where the bed hinges do not correspond to the human anatomy. In these cases, in combination with a head stabilizer, part number NTG09, or a cylinder pad, part number NTG11, if the first signs of ankle misalignment, also called “foot drop,” appear.
